Ignas Tamulis
Ignas won the all style category, here’s what he had to say in an exclusive Q&A and interview:
- Can you give us a little background about yourself?
- I began ballroom dance 5 years old. At age of 8 I began street dance. I dance four styles, hip hop, house, popping and now break dancing.
- What were you feeling going into the competition? I wanted to meet the DJ because I didn’t know him and all the judges.
- What was your favorite part of competing in World of Dance? Getting to meet the DJ and the judges.
- What exciting things will you be doing/focusing on in the next year? I dance everything, but I would really like to learn and explore Break Dance, because it is really difficult and you can do any move you want. “That’s happy.”
- Why do you think dance is important to the world? I think dance is an important world, because when somebody dances he just relaxes and listens to the music, forgets all his troubles and lives that minute with that dance.
- If you had to summarize what dance means for you in 3 words, what would it be? Sharing, communication, and love.
- Anything else you’d like to add? I would like to thank my mom and my trainers for helping me.
Check out some of his favorite performances: IDO Street Dance World Championship 2016, LT Cup 2016, and Vilnius Street Battle 2017.
