The last—and possibly most intense—of the head-to-head duels went down tonight on NBC’s World of Dance. There were amazing performances, stellar acts were eliminated, and there were some eliminated that had the judges and audience in shock. Heads up, this contains some serious spoilers, here’s the full episode if you haven’t had a chance to watch. It’s been two weeks since the last episode, here’s our recap if you need a refresher.
The highest scoring acts got to choose who they competed against in the duel round, and the three remaining acts entered into a three-way battle. Only the act act from each duel battle moves forward in the competition.

Kinjaz vs. Stroll Groove (Team)
Kinjaz wowed the judges in their first performance with their dynamic, precise, and creative routine, J-Lo even called them one of the most exciting teams to watch. Stroll Groove, a stepping crew, had the element of surprise last round (check out their performance here) with their passion. The Kinjaz exceeded expectations with their performance which integrated the use of moving wall panels and had the judges on their feet. Stroll Groove was true to their roots in both passion and style, and gave Kinjaz a run for their money.

- Stroll Crew = 81.3
Luka & Jenalyn vs. DNA (Upper)
Two dynamic duos came to this round of competition knowing they’d have to bring it in order to move to the next round. Luka & Jenalyn specialize in cabaret, and DNA has been performing ballroom for 10 years together. According to mentor Jenna Dewan Tatum, “both acts are pushing their boundaries with ballroom dancing.” Luka & Jenalyn packed their performance with tricks paired with choreography inspired by contemporary. Jennifer Lopez suggested the two focus on their choreography between the tricks moving forward in the competition. DNA brought their game to the next level, even with a minor blunder at the top of their piece. The judges agree that they were the better technicians, which was both admired and appreciated.

- Luka & Jenalyn = 88.7
With a competition jam-packed with amazing performers, there isn’t always time to air every moment of their world-class choreography.

Kings Unite vs. Pasion (Team)

Rythmatic vs. Chapkis Dance Family (Team)

D’Angelo & Amanda vs. The Mihacevich Sisters (Junior)

Jabbawockeez vs. Ian Eastwood and the Young Lions vs. Rogue (Team)
After all the other duels, only three teams remained, but only one could move forward to the next round. Rogue is a female crew of attitude, energy, and technique, even J-Lo wants to dance with them (see their first performance here). Ian Eastwood and the Young Lions had some important feedback from the judges to incorporate, and they delivered in spades, showing that no one can be underestimated in this competition. The Jabbawockeez faced the toughest competitor of all, their own reputation.

- Ian Eastwood and the Young Lions = 85.7
