World of Dance LA 2018 was a celebration of our 10 years as dance enthusiasts. To make the event extra special, we showcased art installations at #WODLA18 that summarized the expansion of the World of Dance community through the years.
10 Years of WOD 3D Photo-Collage
Artist, Vico Hernandez created a 3D photo-collage that consisted of a 10-foot wide, 5-foot-five-inch tall metal structure that 127 of our most memorable WOD photos freely hung from. Among the hanging photos was a photo-booth style frame where #WODLA18 attendees took pictures in front of the collage.
The Giant ‘W’ #WODLA18 Art Installation
We were blown away by Vico Hernandez’s fabrication of the steel World of Dance ‘W’. The 9-foot wide, 6-foot tall contemporary-sculpture was a popular photo location among the WOD LA audience and performers.
World of Dance LA Signature Wall Tradition
Every year at WOD LA we provide a wall for our audience, performers, and staff to sign and literally write themselves into World of Dance history. Can you find your signature?
The WOD Finals are now the World Championships where qualifiers from around the world compete. The Championships are just part of the 2018 World of Dance Championship Week, celebrating 10 years of World of Dance. Get all the details here.
