This week, NBC’s World of Dance competition takes a serious turn as top competitors go head to head in the duels. Now, the show feels more like a competition than ever before. As the competition heats up, it showcases how the best of the best are competing against each other for the $1 million prize… there can only be one winner. Here’s how the duel round works: Top-scoring acts choose who they want to go up against. The scoring system is the same, but this time, only the performer/s with the top score advance to the next round. Read on below for full performances and final scores (spoilers on who is eliminated!). The performances were so amazing that it literally came down to just a few points to see who moves forward.
Fik-Shun vs. Nick Daniels
As the second-highest score from the qualifying round, Fik-shun go to choose who he went head-to-head with in this round and chose a fellow soloist Nick Daniels. Both performers wowed the judges and audience with their performances. Fik-Shun’s unprecedented control and musicality was on point and Nick Daniels exceeded expectations with his artistry, strength, and flexibility.

- Nick Daniels = 87.7
- Fik-Shun = 90.7
Swing Latino vs. Miami All Stars
Two of the largest groups in the competition went head-to-head. Swing Latino selected the Miami All Stars to compete against to see who will move to the next round. Swing Latino’s performance showcased their fast footwork, synchronicity, and insane tricks. The Miami All Stars performed an upbeat and dynamic swing number which Ne-Yo commented was good enough for Broadway.

- Swing Latino = 91.7
- Miami All Stars = 88.3
Eva Igo v. Kynta
Eva Igo picked YouTube hip hop stars Kynta for this round of the competition. Kynta brought an amazing performance (they’re no stranger to the stage, they toured with Janet Jackson!). Eva once again awed the judges and audience with her artistry and raw emotion, leaving the audience chanting her name after her performance.

- Kyntay = 82.7
- Eva Igo = 98.0
Quick Style vs. Keone & Mari
Keone & Mari have known the dancers from Quick Style for years. They are all close friends and Keone & Mari used to teach Quick Style from time to time. While it’s hard to go up against close friends in a competition like this, they were all happy about knowing someone they respect would move forward, regardless of the outcome. Quick Style showcased a new level of energy than in the qualifying round. Keone & Mari brought a more emotional piece with both power and subtlety.
Final scores:
- Keone & Mari 91.3
- Quick Style = 89.3
