Watching world-class dancers perform is mesmerizing. It’s a seamless combination of art, emotion, and athleticism, no matter what genre. While it’s often assumed dancers just dance to maintain their physicality, there’s so much more going on offstage. Keone and Mari recently released a mini-documentary about their training regimen and what maintaining physical health means to them.
Here’s what Keone and Mari said about the mini-doc on their YouTube page:
A mini-documentary that gives a peek into our training regiment, preparation, and desire to get better. As we get older, we understand that we have to invest into our physical, mental, and spiritual well being if we want to have long and healthy dance careers. Ever since we’ve committed to that investment and to our coach (who has trained some of the best pro athletes in the world; fighters, football, baseball, and more) we feel stronger than ever and anxious to share this mindset with others. Our hope is that sharing this can be a part in cultivating a mentality shift in the way dancers take care of their bodies, like athletes, while also changing the general masses’ perception of dancers as athletes.
