Since his first single release in 2005, Ne-Yo’s been topping the charts and winning awards left and right. In addition to being a singer and songwriter, Ne-Yo also adds dancer to his (long) list of talents. Whether he’s performing live or in a music video, he doesn’t disappoint. Here are just a few of his very best dance videos (listed in chronological order).
- “Beautiful Monster” 2010, performed live on So You Think You Can Dance
When you’re performing on SYTYCD the people tuning in expect stellar choreography and an equally impressive performance. In 2010, Ne-Yo didn’t disappoint in his performance of “Beautiful Monster.”
- “One in a Million” 2010
The music video for “One in a Million” showcased Ne-Yo’s dance moves. Most of the choreography takes place on a street scene, with Ne-Yo and his backup dancers classically decked out in suspenders, vests, and/or fedoras.
- And Performed Live on Ellen
Live performances often include more choreography and dancing, as they don’t have the added benefit of cutting to different scenes and sets. This helped craft an amazing performance from Ne-Yo on Ellen, also in 2010.
- “Let Me Love You” 2012
A bit more inspired by pop than some of his other singles, the video for “Let Me Love You” includes great choreography and an amazing performance by both Ne-Yo and his fellow dancers—also plenty of shirtless Ne-Yo.
- “Michael Jackson Tribute” 2016, performed live at “Taking The Stage: African American Music And Stories That Changed America”
Performing for the likes of the Obamas, Oprah Winfrey, and so many more big names, while making a tribute to the King of Pop is no easy task. Earlier this year Ne-Yo killed it, performing a tribute melody of some of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits, while mixing in some of his most iconic dance moves.
