Slawek and Juliet are not your average ballet dancers. Together, the powerhouse duo is a sight to behold on NBC’s World of Dance. Training from an early age (their parents were professional dance teachers), they have dance in their blood—and now they’re sharing their talent with the world.
They currently dance at The Phoenix Ballet Company, but we recently caught up with them to find out how they felt about the competition, why they think the world needs dance, and more.

WOD: What was the best part of competing in World of Dance?
S&J: The best part of competing on World of Dance was being able to see Universal Studios behind the scenes.
WOD: Who’s your favorite judge, and why?
S&J: It’s hard to pick a favorite judge. We like them all!
WOD: What do you love most about dance?
S&J: We love dance because we can share a story through movement. Dance also allows us to travel and meet amazing people, which is one of the best aspects of being a dancer.
WOD: Why do you think the world needs dance?
S&J: As one of the oldest art forms, the world needs dance because it is such a big part of our culture. It keeps us connected to our past and to each other.
WOD: What songs are you obsessed with right now?
Slawek: I’m obsessed with Muse. My top 5 favorites are Mercy, Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole, Undisclosed Desires, and Revolt.
Juliet: I’m usually listening to whatever is on the top 40 chart!
