You might know the Mihacevich Sistera from NBC’s World of Dance, where they impressed judges J-Lo, Ne-Yo, and Derek Hough enough to make it through the qualifiers. It’s hard to believe the sisters self-choreographed their first trio performance together only six years ago, but it’s clear they’re ready to take their talent to the next level.

Their style is marked by high emotion—often related to the song they choose. Because we always like to know what music inspires dancers, we asked the sisters to share the songs on their playlists. Luckily, they agreed.

The Mihacevich Sisters

Here are the sisters’ top picks.

Madeline’s Top Songs

“There are too many good songs right now I could not pick just 5. These are in no specific order.”

1) “Closer” by Nick Wilson

This song is about a guy who is so in love with a girl, and it makes me super happy to listen to because it is the kind of love I wish to have.”

2) “Can I Be Him” by James Arthur

“This song is also about a guy who is in love with a girl, but he is not actually in a relationship with this girl.  Love the story, and I love James Arthur’s voice and the guitar in this song as well.”

3) “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars

“This song is just so happy and makes me want to dance. Every time it comes on I get very excited.”

4) “Sunday Candy” by Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment

“This song also makes me very happy, and I play it in my car with the windows rolled down. I find great enjoyment singing the girl part in this song. :)”

5) “Selfish” by Future ft. Rihanna

“I love Rihanna, and this song is another one that I blast in my car with my windows down.”

6) “XO” by Beyoncé

“Oldie but goodie. Pretty sure I sound just like Beyoncé singing this one. 🙂 Great lyrics and beats. 11/10.”

7) “Precious” by Kevin Garrett

“One of my friends played me this song, and I have been obsessed with it ever since. I love the accents in the music and also singing this song with my friends.”

“It is such a feel good song, and I jam all the time to that in the car. It makes you want to move!”

“This is also a great one because it just puts me in such a great mood and makes me think of summer.”

3) “Sunday Candy” by Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment

“This is definitely another personal favorite because I love Chance and singing the chorus to the song ha ha. I just saw Chance in concert and he was AMAZING.”

4) “Came to Do” by Chris Brown ft. Akon

“This is another favorite because when Madeline and I would leave school early on Fridays for dance competitions we would roll the windows down and blast this song.”

5) “Mad” by Ne-Yo

“This is my last favorite song because I absolutely adore Ne-Yo, and this song just puts me in the feels.”

Lainey’s Top Songs
