Australian teenager Nickola “Nicki” Pyrgos is on her way to gaining serious ground on her dream of dancing professionally. The 15-year-old from Springfield—a charming suburb outside of Brisbane—will represent her dance crew in an American dance competition later this year, according to Quest Community News.
Held in Los Angeles, the World of Dance event is going to be a huge deal for Pyrgos. In fact, her mother has set up a crowdfunding campaign online to help.
“[Nickola] has the biggest heart of gold and has grown into a humble young woman that has respect and passion for life, especially for dance,” Ms Pyrgos said. “I don’t ask for anything ever. I’m just a working mom, but this is for her.”
