NBC’s World of Dance judge Ne-Yo will be joining Glee‘s Naya Rivera, along with Faizon Love, in an upcoming online revival of Step Up. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 10-episode drama will be a joint project between YouTube Originals and Lionsgate.
Likely adhering to YouTube’s streaming service Red, Step Up: High Water will come this fall, with its longtime producers returning. The series will focus on Sage Odom (Ne-Yo), owner of the High Water Performing Arts School in Atlanta. Meanwhile, Collette (Rivera) is an administrator and former dancer that has a history with Odom. The dance school’s students will play a huge role as well.
Given his outstanding moves, Ne-Yo is going to take these kids to school—literally. Step Up: High Water is coming our way in fall.
