NBC’s World of Dance is the world’s most competitive dance competition, where celebrity judges Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Derek Hough, and host/mentor Jenna Dewan Tatum watch incredible dancers compete for a whopping $1 million prize. From hip hop to tap, break dancing to ballroom, it’s a celebration of all things dance, and we’re pumped to give you a look at each and every amazing dancer, duo, and crew. Let’s meet Kyle Van Newkirk.

From: Morrill, Neb.
Who he is: This small town dancer has broken boundaries and pushed the envelope during his short career as he’s gone from rehearsing in his basement to winning world championship for tap dancing.
