Who they are: The Ukrainian-born couple grew up with a passion for ballroom dance. Denys Drozdyuk is a three-time World Ballroom Dance champion and was the first and only Ballroom dancer ever to be accepted to Juilliard. Together, Drozdyuk and Antonina Skobina are an unstoppable duo, winning two US National Ballroom championship titles and becoming World Championship Finalists. They have also appeared as World of Dance frontrow performers.
Denys Drozdyuk started dancing at the age of 4 in Ukraine. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from the world-famous Juilliard School in New York, which he attended on a full scholarship and a Master of Arts Degree in Dance Education from New York University.
Antonina Skobina was born in Ukraine. Since the age of 7, she has been receiving the best ballroom dance training in Ukraine, Germany, England, and the United States. She is a 2-time U.S. National Amateur Latin Champion, as well as a 2011 Blackpool Amateur Rising Stars Latin Winner. She is also a 2015 and 2016 World Championship Finalist.
Fun fact: They are the first American couple to win the Blackpool Amateur Rising Stars Latin Championship in Blackpool, England, the most prestigious ballroom dance competition in the world. Denys was also a So You Think You Can Dance Canada 2010 Winner.
