Most of us have a childhood bestfriend—but most of us did not meet that friend while touring for Janet Jackson.But Kyndall Harris and Taylor Hatala did. The duo, known as Kyntay, are competitors on NBC’s World of Dance, where they are battling it out for a $1 million prize. But beyond the money, the girls have another goal: to spread their message of love and unity through dance.
We caught up with them to find out what it was like to compete, what songs they love, and more.

WOD: What was the best part of competing in World of Dance?
Kyntay: The best part of competing on the show is that we were surrounded by the best dancers in the world!! We met so many great people!
WOD: Who’s your favorite judge, and why?
Kyntay: We can’t possibly choose a favorite because we look up to all three of them! They are all so incredibly talented!
WOD: What do you love most about dance?
Kyntay: Dance allows us to express our emotions and lets us be who we truly are! We love creating and spreading unity, love, and peace through our passion.
WOD: Why do you think the world needs dance?
Kyntay: The world needs dance because it is an outlet that allows people to connect through movement and emotion.
WOD: What songs are you obsessed with right now?
