We don’t know about you, but we’re huge flash mob fans. What could be better than a group of dancers having a blast in a public place? Answer: A #SlashMob (flash mob + water balloon fight = splash mob).
Fik-Shun, in collaboration with Bunch O Balloons, recently surprised unsuspecting party goers with a crazy #SplashMob performance at a Los Angeles summer pool party.
“Bunch O Balloons lets you unleash summer fun, so what better way to showcase this than with a #SplashMob of epic proportions?,” says Renee Lee, Global Marketing Manager, ZURU Toys.
It all started when Fik-Shun fooled the crowd into thinking he was a security guard and pretended to shut the party down.
“Little did anyone know that it was me underneath the tough cop exterior!” Fik-Shun says. But once the first Bunch O Balloons water balloon was thrown by Autumn Miller, the #SplashMob officially began.
Fik-Shun and Autumn broke into dance and were soon joined by the Miniotics, Hall of Fame, Super Fresh, and more than 50 other World of Dance performers, getting down to music spun by DJ Mike Murda of Super Cr3w. The combination of YouTube’s top dancers and choreography from Ricky Cole, a member of Soul Fresh, created a once-in-a-lifetime experience for everyone in attendance.
It’s not easy to pull off a prank like this, but Fik-Shun and the dancers did it with style.
“There was a lot of risk and planning involved in trying to pull off a surprise #SplashMob, but we succeeded and had so much fun in the process. We loved collaborating with World of Dance to show how Bunch O Balloons can make any outdoor summer celebration better with water balloons that are faster and easier to make,” Renee says.
