Katie Bly is a married mother of two from Santa Maria, California, and she lost two of the most important people to her within four years— her sister Crystal and mother Diane. To honor them, she decided to live every day to its fullest, and one thing she always had in the back of her mind was learning how to dance. So World of Dance judge Derek Hough taught her.
The dance lessons were part of TODAY‘s “Summer of Yes” series, which has viewers trying something they’ve always wanted to. Megyn Kelly surprised Bly at LA’s JustDance Studio. Watch Hough and Kelly fulfill Bly’s dream of dancing below.
