We love dance so much around here we tend to treat every day like it’s dance day, but today it’s official: July 29 is National Dance Day. Not familiar with the holiday? According to Dance Magazine, “it’s an annual event established by Nigel Lythgoe and the Dizzy Feet Foundation where dancers and non-dancers across the country are encouraged to get movin’.” Check out some of NBC’s World of Dance contestants and celebrity judges are celebrating National Dance Day.

It’s #nationaldanceday so here’s pt 1 of my “Betta Watch Yo Self” choreo in my formations class at @arenadancecomp with my @kinjaz brothers. – Funny story, how me joining Kinjaz actually happened: about a year ago, during the entry process for @nbcworldofdance, the boys called me about joining the squad specifically for the show. This was before either of us knew there was a division of 4 or less dancers. With me having a DEEP history with some of them even going back as far as 17 years with one of my best friends @v1nh, it was a great environment/easy fit for me to dance with friends and great people. I said I’d give it some thought and prayer. A few days later, @_marimadrid and I received a phone call from @nappytabs, describing the upper division and having me and Mari as a duo on the show. Long story short; if I were to do a dance competition show for the first time and have the opportunity to do it with my wife, I’m gonna do it. So sorry Kinjaz haha. Both sides agreed, let’s do everything we can to see each other in the finals. Nonetheless, of course that door of being Kin was opened and joining the fam was going to happen regardless of the show. And so came to life this first piece with them back in May and many more things to come. #kinatallcosts #urbandance #choreography 🎥: @vibrvncy
